A Race to the Finish Line

If this were a Star Trek episode, we'd be hoping the engineer Scotty would perform a miracle to enable us to accomplish our mission. Because right now, despite my best efforts, my friend's birthday quilt and I watched the Fed Ex doors close before we could make it inside. Now I'm hoping a quilter out in Washington will be able to save the day with warp speed quilting .... the party's on Saturday! But, if that doesn't work out, I'll get the quilt back next week and all will still be well. I know my girlfriend will understand and be thrilled nonetheless.

Here's a sneak peek at the quilt. Yep, I pieced it. YIKES! Haven't done that in a while.

Your piecing looks perfect! Wasn't it hard to do after making art quilts? I'm so glad I don' have to worry about matching points anymore.
I'm sure you'll show us the whole thing after the party.

Oh no! Luckily I'm about 10 minutes away from the FedEx station for this area and they close at 7 pm (ask me how I know!!) I've been there at 6:55 many a time and I feel your pain.

I'm sure your friend will love the quilt, nice job!

With a present like this, I'm sure she'll not take it amiss that it will be a little late.... I feel your pain! That's why one of my pieces is called "Cock-a-doodle Didn't."

Good job on the quilt!
