Journal

To the delight of my youngest daughter, we had some flurries last week. In my journal, I decided to use two of the stitches on my machine to represent the falling snow. I couldn't find any solid blue in my stash, so I tried to paint over a commercial print. Interestingly enough, this is the back side of the fabric because I couldn't hide the gold lines on the front. You can still see some of the print but here it works well as a representation of the swirling wind. Two little sculpey clay hands that were languishing in my junk bowl have become my daughter's hands, outstretched to greet the new snow.
