Scrambling to the Finish Line

As is often the case, a creative deadline has crept up on me.  I have to finish a baby quilt top by Saturday morning.    Given the time crunch -- especially since I can't devote all day today and tomorrow to this project -- I'm using fabrics in my stash.  I figured I might as well use some of the black and white fabrics that haven't seen the light of day in years.

I sure hope it's still the "in" thing to have babies interact with items that have dramatic contrast.

I've been making black-and-white newborn quilts for decades. It's amazing how the babies will pay close attention, almost from birth! My nephew took a video of his week-old baby watching the quilt; her eyes were following back and forth so intently, it looked like she was reading. I bet your new baby will love this! (It's the parents whom you have to educate....)

Excellent news, Kathy! The good news here is that the center is all pieced. Now I just have to add some borders. I figure I can show them the top tomorrow and send the entire thing back once it's quilted.
