LandEscape at the Katonah Museum of Art
I'm really excited about the new exhibition opening this weekend at the Katonah Museum of Art: LandEscape.
It's been a long time since the KMA presented an all painting exhibition and this one is sure to please. Landscapes have been the subject of artists for centuries but, by the early 20th century, they started to interpret these landscapes differently. Conveying inner vision became, for many, more important than a realistic representation of a scene.
In this exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to view significant landscape art from the early to mid-1900s in conversation with paintings made in the new millennium. It's a very interesting show that I hope you'll all be able to view.
