I'm Back!

I'm just back from a wonderful family vacation to Carmel, California. We were out in the hills, staying at a beautiful hacienda dating back to the early 1900s. I haven't posted because I don't have a laptop and there was only one computer at the hacienda -- in the common room -- and I couldn't load my pictures there. I was surprised how much I missed blogging! At any rate, here's a picture from one of our excursions: the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It's such an incredible place to visit, a definite must-see. We were all agog with the new seahorse exhibit, designed to showcase seahorses and their relatives in all their glory and uniqueness. I think we spent over an hour in just that one exhibit; to me, seahorses seem almost mythical. Here's a picture of one of the amazing creatures: a leafy sea dragon. Doesn't nature just blow you away?
